The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to policy reforms aimed at improving Nigeriaโs business environment and strengthening private sector confidence.
The Federal Government has reiterated its commitment to strengthening Nigeriaโs business environment through sustained policy reforms targeted at improving corporate confidence, regulatory efficiency, and private sector participation.
Officials of the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment said the government remains focused on creating a predictable policy framework that supports business growth, investment attraction, and job creation across key sectors of the economy.
Speaking during a policy engagement in Abuja this week, ministry representatives noted that ongoing reforms are aimed at reducing bureaucratic bottlenecks, improving coordination among regulatory agencies, and ensuring that government policies are aligned with the needs of businesses operating in Nigeria.
According to the ministry, priority areas include enhancing ease of doing business, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, and promoting transparency in regulatory processes that affect corporate operations.
The government also reaffirmed its intention to work closely with the private sector, industry groups, and development partners to ensure that reforms translate into measurable improvements for businesses.
Corporate stakeholders have repeatedly called for policy consistency and timely implementation of reforms, noting that clarity and stability are critical for long-term investment planning.
Officials said the governmentโs approach in 2026 would emphasise structured engagement with the business community, alongside continuous review of existing policies to ensure they remain responsive to economic realities.
The policy assurance comes amid broader efforts to stabilise the macroeconomic environment and strengthen investor confidence as Nigeria seeks to accelerate economic growth and diversify revenue sources.
