Second-Season Authority Cynthia Mobley Howell shares her bold relocation at 65, 70-pound weight loss, and holistic wellness mission as she empowers women over 60 to thrive with confidence and purpose.
Cynthia Mobley Howell is challenging outdated narratives about aging and proving that life after 60 can be marked by expansion, vitality, and fearless reinvention. Now 66, the Second-Season Authority and wellness leader is using her personal transformation and faith-driven resilience to inspire women to embrace their next chapter with confidence.
In December 2024, at age 65, Howell made a bold decision that many would consider unconventional: she relocated to an entirely new city where she knew absolutely no one. The move was intentional and symbolic, representing a personal reset and the beginning of what she describes as her most fulfilling season yet.
“It was unfamiliar, uncomfortable, and completely outside my comfort zone, but it was necessary for my growth,” Howell shared.
Her journey toward empowerment, however, began long before the move. Raised in a family where her three siblings were affected by serious mental illnesses, Howell credits her faith for sustaining her and shaping her outlook on life.
“That reality taught me that my beginnings did not define my destiny,” she explained. “It cultivated a faith that assures me I can overcome anything.”
The experience inspired her lifelong advocacy for mental wellness and her commitment to speaking openly about mental health without stigma.
In addition to championing mental wellness, Howell has transformed her physical health in ways that have captured attention. At age 59, she began a plant-based lifestyle that later evolved into a predominantly raw regimen consisting of approximately 95 percent fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds. Since making that shift, she has released 70 pounds, strengthened her immune system, eliminated medications in favor of supplements, gained significant mental clarity, and achieved what she describes as vibrant, glowing skin.
“At sixty-six, looking and feeling this good is a blessing,” Howell said, humorously noting that revealing her age sometimes surprises Uber drivers so much that they turn fully around in disbelief.
Her holistic approach to wellness integrates spirit, soul, and body, forming the foundation of the legacy she is intentionally building in 2026. While she acknowledges that financial security matters, she emphasizes that true wealth is incomplete without spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being.
“True wealth means little without spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being,” she said.
Through her voice and leadership, Howell continues to impact people across age, race, class, and gender lines.
“I don’t see labels; I see people,” she explained. “Everyone deserves dignity, compassion, and respect.”
Her message to the next generation of women is simple yet powerful: “Down, but NEVER out.”
As more women seek models of healthy, purpose-driven aging, Cynthia Mobley Howell stands as living proof that reinvention is possible at any stage and that thriving beyond 60 is not an exception but an intentional choice.
