Jennifer McNeill, DTM, a 24-year United States Army veteran, fitness entrepreneur, author, and leadership advocate, has been recognized in GLEBM Magazine’s International Women’s Day 2026 Special Digital Edition as one of the Audacious Women Shaping 2026.

Featured under the headline, “Even at 72, I Continue to Challenge Expectations,” McNeill’s story highlights her commitment to leadership, wellness, and purposeful living well beyond traditional retirement milestones.

One of her most recent bold steps was volunteering to serve as a senior leader in her Toastmasters District, a role that required strategic planning, team leadership, and organizational oversight. Drawing from more than two decades of military leadership experience, McNeill led her team to achieve Distinguished Division status, reflecting collective excellence and sustained commitment.

“While many might hesitate to take on such a significant commitment, I chose to step forward, fully aware of the responsibilities involved,” McNeill shared in her interview. “Together with my team, we ended the year as a Distinguished Division.”

Beyond her leadership in Toastmasters, McNeill continues to operate her fitness business, Get Fit with Jen, an in-home aerobics program that blends military discipline, dance, and safe movement practices designed to promote long-term health and sustainability. Her philosophy encourages participants to prioritize consistency and safety, approaching exercise with the mindset that they should be able to return the next day and do it again.

As a retiree from both military service and civilian leadership roles, McNeill credits intentional self-talk, prayer, and structured goal-setting as key strategies that keep her motivated and aligned with her purpose.

“My self-talk is strategic,” she explained. “Goal setting and planning give me a roadmap for what my next endeavor looks like.”

Approaching her 73rd birthday, McNeill continues to advocate for physical fitness, discipline, and self-care, particularly among younger generations.

“Develop a self-care habit now,” she advised. “You will appreciate it when you reach 72.”

GLEBM’s International Women’s Day 2026 Special Edition highlights women across industries who are shaping the year through leadership, resilience, and measurable impact. McNeill’s story stands as a testament to the belief that purpose does not retire and that productivity, vitality, and leadership remain choices at any age.
